Savrina Chinien is a Senior Lecturer in French, Francophone Literatures and Film and the Coordinator of the French Program at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad-and-Tobago. She is an Associate Member of CLARE/CELFA Research Group at Bordeaux Montaigne University as well as a film critic (African Federation of Film Critics, Senegal). Her research focuses on Francophone Caribbean Literatures and Film – she has been widely published in both English and French. Her feature film A Mauritian Mobius (2018) which she directed and wrote the script for, gained official selection at the Switzerland International Film Festival, amongst other film festivals.
